Matt works with designers to convert their comps into themes for our content management system. He hand codes compliant, semantic (X)HTML and CSS, with a sprinkling of unobtrusive Javascript. His goal is getting our sites to be user-friendly, fully-functional, and looking great across all different browsers.
You can say he's a disciple of the Zeldman/Andy Budd/Simon Collison school of design, and very on-board with web standards. Matt prefers front-end development because he tends to be creative and visual and has a decent eye for design, but is also working on getting under the hood to hone those back-end chops, as well.
When hunkered down over his Macbook Pro, he always has on a pair of headphones pumping out either Indie Pop, or a ballgame being played by his beloved New York Mets. When not in front of the computer screen, he enjoys time with his wife Rachel and their three children, Isaiah, Eliza, and Luke.
