Entering its 35th year, Ballard SeafoodFest is a great, old-fashioned summer party, offering entertainment for all ages, beer and wine gardens, a plethora of seafood vendors, arts and crafts, and unique contests over the course of a weekend in Seattle’s Ballard neighborhood.

The event already had a web site but the staff at the Ballard Chamber of Commerce wanted to be able to update and maintain it more easily, so Bear ported the site over to Drupal. Like many event sites, it received little traffic until the week of the event, and then had more than 10,000 visitors each day. With a great built-in caching mechanism, Drupal was unfazed by the traffic spike and event-goers had no trouble getting to the site to check out all the great vendors and events!
